Before you start:

- How to attract potential readers? What may be interesting to them?
- What information do you want to include?
- Are there any specific rules that you need to follow?

- find and define clear goals for your academic work
- select main means of achieving your goals
- find the most creative and innovative point(s) of your work
- find the simplest way of presenting your ideas

After you finish:
- do not to leave writing an abstract at the eleventh hour
- put your ready abstract aside for at least overnight and look at it afresh
- give your abstract to your colleague to read (it is hard to spot your own errors)
- send it before the deadline (if there is any)
